The Beautiful Bernedoodle

The Bernedoodle is a companion dog, through and through.  A cross between a poodle and a Bernese Mountain dog, the Bernedoodle inherits the intelligence of the poodle and the happy-go-lucky, loving temperament of the Bernese Mountain dog.  Bernedoodles are usually hypoallergenic and shed very little.  They are adaptable to different living situations.  Their exercise needs are moderate and can usually be met with at least one daily walk.  All in all, if you need a dog for the whole family or if you’re a single owner looking for a lovable smart mixed breed with good health that can put a smile on your face the Bernedoodle is for you!

A standard Bernedoodle full grown is 23 to 29 inches tall and weighs 50 to 90 pounds.

The Bernedoodle has a range of coat colors.

  • If they take after their Bernese Mountain dog parent, they are most commonly black, black and white or the classic tri-colored black, white and brown.
  • If they take more after the poodle parent, their coat may be grey, apricot, blue, fawn, cream, or merle.

Their coat he is mainly wavy and non-shedding – they acquired this from their poodle genes.

  • Often described as clever, goofy, loyal and fun-loving.

  • They are generally not barky dogs.

  • They are the classic Velcro dog and will want to be with you all the time.

Standard Bernedoodles are expected to live 12 to 15 years
